VR News started in Mike Bevan's home office in 1991 as an inter-project pastime. An online database and literature search for information about Virtual Reality had yielded surprisingly little, and a need and an opportunity thus suggested itself. 200 copies of the first black and white issue were produced in January 1992, and mailed out hopefully to the far corners of the earth. Subscriptions started to arrive, and there was no going back.
